Final Fight: Double Impact almost had Forgotten Worlds

Postby ensabahnur » 13 Apr 2010, 10:39

I would have loved Forgotten Worlds, I used to play that all the time on my C64 and in the arcades. Black Tiger would have been great as well. Just release the both of these as a double pack.

Don't really recall playing Magic Sword, was it a popular game back in the day?

Still, Final Fight is well worth the 800pts alone. Thank jebus its the arcade version though and not the SNES single player one.

Yeah Magic sword is a bit more elusive as i dont beleive it ever really made it out of the arcades.

At least not to the extent that Capcoms other Arcade treasures like Finl Fight / Forgotten Worlds / Strider did.

Speaking of which how come Strider wasn't considered for the 2nd billing? Might be because after his awesome appearance in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 he is now a strictly above the title player!

Magic Sword was available on the SNES, and it also saw a release on the Capcom collection not that long ago. It's not a bad game, I quite enjoy it. It is a little bit repetitive, but then again, what old games aren't?

I would have loved a Black Tiger/Forgotton worlds combo. Let's hope for next time eh?

Black Tiger/Dragon is a brilliant shout and a brilliant game.

Thank god for MAME and my 360 Hori stick in the meantime.

One thing about these old arcade games, especially Magic Sword, they are hard. I'm talking two pocketfuls of 10p's hard.

Oh aye, ridiculously hard. I remember playing through the last few levels of the original Robocop arcade game on my chipped xbox 1 and i must have spent a virtual £30 just to complete it. I was adding extra credits every few minutes and dying every few seconds on those last levels.
Those old arcade games were defo designed to make as much money out of you as possible.
