Dark and gritty turns fun and games in gorgeous morality tale...

A violent gangster roaming a city of criminals, raking in the cash, a haul of weapons up his sleeve... remind you of anything? Relax. Fold those preconceptions back into their box, push down the lid and stab it for a bit. Kazuma Kiryu is nothing like Niko Bellic and Yakuza 3 is nothing like Grand Theft Auto - or any of its clones. Yakuza 3 is madness, though in an endearing way that, like Boris Johnson, forces you to forgive its idiocies.... read more

the sight of a child weepingly apologising to a thief, in some sugary forgiveness circle-jerk
That just doesn't sound right. :?

I'll probably give this a bash, once FF13 and GOWIII have been tanned.

These games are stacking up now.... :(

Definetly be getting this on friday. I was sceptical at first over the combat and character movement, but the more ive played the demo, the more I've gotten used to it and liked it. So much so, this is definetly a day one purchase. I can't wait.

i was shocked when i first tried it too.

WTF you can't walk - only sprint and the fighting system is very simple and dated.

I've got the Premium edition on order, I haven't even finished Yakuza 1, let alone start 2&3.

I'm busy playing FFXIII to tie us over until my GoWIII:UTE arrives, man what a busy month.
I'm no hero, never was, never will be, I'm just an old killer, hired to do a little wet work. sOLiD Snake, MGS4.

Killzone 2, Infamous, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 2, D Souls (import US), MAG, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Yakuza 3 etc all within or around a year! ...

And people call me a PS3 fanboy for what reason?

Sounds like my kind of game.

Makes me think of Way of the Samurai on PS2. That was magical for me, bet a lot of you lot never played that, eh? I was one of less than 100 who played it in England.

Sequel I never got round to. I hope there is a WotS on PS3. But no-one gives a sh*t I guess.
