Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising goes gold

Postby Musicalgibbon » 22 Feb 2010, 14:20

Seems like a bit of a funny one, this.

Regular DoWII offers about 40 missions and a multiplayer with 4 races.

For the same price, Chaos Rising offers 18 missions, and a multiplayer with 5 races (one new).

I'll buy it, and all, as decent co-op modes in RTSs are few and far between, but does it not seem like we're getting stung by this new tradition of having expansion packs be stand alone, whether or not the content is there to justify it?

Maybe but Chaos Rising is actually retailing at about £19.99. Well £17.99 from HMV.co.uk. So I would say a bargain!

I played DoW II to death, but then got so damned bored of it.

I'm expecting to do the same with this one, and then wait for the next expansion.
I love the taste of Pikmin in the morning.

Ah, I was going off the Steam price, which is £29.99
Cheers for the heads up.

It still sounds a little content light, but at least at that price it'll make more sense.
