Death Penalty For The Drug Smuggling Grandmother

I presume you've all heard the story?

I'm all for stronger punishments to try and eradicate drug use, but, Bleedin hell, this is a bit much, isn't it?

Then again, everyone knows how insanely strict they are on drugs offences over there, so maybe she has only herself to blame?

What do you think?

Poor old bint doesn't look like a Tony Montana style head of a drug empire!

Seems bloody harsh.

i don't believe in the death penalty unless it's murder and even then i'm not totally sure. maybe she was threatened to do it, maybe she just thought nobody would pull and old lady over. who knows but they will have an appeal no doubt and get her 15years instead.

I've been to Bali, great place. i didn't see any drug stuff going on though. Still it's the equivalent of Spain to us but for Australians so they're bound to want to get mashed on holiday.

not sure why but i dod feel a bit sorry for her.

If they did the same thing over here, it wouldn't half solve the drug problem overnight though!

Pretty terrible if what Reprieve said was true, though still quite terrible anyway is the Indonesian authorities are correct.

Personally I think the way to tackle drug problems is legalise, regulate and tax some of them, I don't know if I'd include cocaine in that, probably.

As with sonar, the big problem with detection is interpreting the returning signals.

And shop keepers that short change you.
And drivers that cut you off.
And people that put gravy on chips.
And everybody that doesn't live in your house.

That about cover it?

So, if you become a parent one day, you'd be ok with your child being able to freely, and legally walk into a pharmacy or wherever, and buy drugs like cocaine?! Not sure that's the answer for hard drugs!

cocaine is one of the most overrated drugs of all time. LSD (or Peyote/Mescaline) is far superior in every respect.
