Thanks Dodo.

Its a bit of a joke really that a thread gets locked for going too far off topic. It's a bloody news article ffs, no other gaming sites get news articles locked. It's not fair on users who are yet to visit the thread that may want to comment etc.

There is only one mod who would have ever locked it. I'll wager that not a single mod past or present would have considered it other than the one who did actually lock it. He really is Hitler of forums.

I think much of the trouble is on sites like this is that there gets formed little groups like ours....cliques (clicks to Northerners or The Irish) if you will that get eachothers foibles and sense of humour and obviously come from similar upbringingings and backgrounds.
Well all except me.
I wouldn't associates meself with you scum 10 years ago but times have changed.
And so have my standards.
You only have to look at the old woman to see that.
But, yet again, I digress.
What was I on about again?

TBH I think of stealth as sugar.

A nice treat in moderation, rots your teeth if you have too much.

Someone should get of S-Smith (not S-Smyth, he's a reet good'un) the trolling c**t. And Royston, but only if he stops swearing. I couldn't bear it.

The names listed by the 'new poster' look a bit suspicious to me, either that or he went to a 'special school' :)

Paradaz - UK wrote:So Stonie incited what was only going turn into the usual fanboy topic anyway....

but the question is, why didn't one of the mods simply drag the off-topic posts from that thread into a new thread, therefore allowing people to talk about Babybel and KFC Gladiator Boxmeals and anything else that entertains the kids, and see if the usual dickheads who love sales talk and 360 v PS3 to see if they could behave themselves in the existing thread?

How difficult can it possibly be? I'm sure this 'Reporting posters' thread will be locked next.........based on halfwits chatting about anything and everything that isn't on topic, and the mods inability to do the job they volunteered to do. Some people do want chance to discuss things on-topic and it hasn't hard to please both parties.

This went off topic yet managed to stay open. Despite turning into a childish "you're a troll, no you're a troll, you hang up, no you hang up"

I don't think we can lock a thread for people going off topic in the off topic forum.

In an off topic forum, wouldn't staying on topic be considered going off topic?

Not out of hand. More just a bit of gentle blouse tugging and flirting from two that obviously have previous history.

I get ya Daz, that thread i linked he called you out anyroad, you just asked him to prove his claims. But that sales one definitely would have all gone to s**t wouldn't it? They always do and that was the first one for ages so they'd have rant saved up to the eyeballs. They still could have talked about it though, the off topic talk had died down by tea time.

Well if you don't like the forums and the moderation you know what you can do. I'm not having a go Darren but its your choice to keep posting.
