I used to own one of those Sony 3D headsets, but sold it after about a week's use. It was just too heavy, cumbersome and uncomfortable. Furthermore, the picture was blurry at the edges and the 3D effect was too flat, without any possibility for adjusting the depth. There's an updated model out now, which hopefully fixes some of the problems of the original model, even if it's only 100g lighter in weight.

The ipad mini on the other hand is perfect - except for the average/good non-Retina screen. The much reduced weight and thickness compared to the regular ipad make the mini a joy to use. The processor is also weaker (it's the same as in the ipad2), but seems to handle most games well, at least the ones I've been playing recently.

No mention of the Steel Battalion controller for Xbox? It surely qualifies as extravagant?

We reckon that the future of Android gaming would be for Google to pull its frickin' finger out and make the Google Play store a less confusing place to buy games for our not-so-smartphones.

WTF. Blatent favouritism there, it's just as easy to get games on Play as it is on the app store, if not easier. It even has it own fricken sub section for games!

And CnVG think a 4GB PC is slow? They should try my 512MB beast of a machine.

The Astro A50s are only virtual surround and are way overpriced. If you're after true surround headsets the Razer Tiamat 7.1s have got 10 separate speakers and kick ass. Easily the best headset available and at about £130 one of the cheapest.

Which in turn would make more developers pull their fingers out and insentience them to actually make games for Android as well as iOS.

Insentience? It would remove their consciousness? Was someone writing this on their iPhone while on the bog and didn't realise autocorrect was set to "Screw-you-over" setting?

Is it just me or does that Sony 3D headset look like a Sinclair C5?

"Razer's DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard is pretty much any self-respecting PC gamer's definitive dream."
Uh, how about no? Any self -respecting HARD CORE PC gamer will be using a true mechanical keyboard (Ducky, Filco, Das etc). No true PC gamer would spend $250+ on some gimmicky rubber dome Razer nonsense. 8)

I wanna know where they got their "£185" price tag from. I looked on Amazon just now and the cheapest I can see it is for £220 second hand or £237 brand new. Then again I could always go for the lightly "lesser" model for £10 cheaper...

I was correcting the individual who implied system drivers are stored on RAM. As anyone with any experience would know they are most definitely not. Like any other software the are stored on drives whether SSD or HDD. Elitist? Definitely not. I simply was correcting a common misperception among those who know nothing about PC's. And by the fact that you immediately resorted to profanity in your post I take it you are not far from the 4 years old you referenced. My use of the term noob was likely ill chosen but I did not and do not find it necessary to resort to profanity. Those who do are usually the ones with absolutely no factual evidence to support their claims.
