"2012 was a great year for gaming"

Easily the stupidest thing i've heard this year although everything Peter Molyneux says is a close runner up. 2012 stuttered at best and towards the end felt like stroking your haggered old family pet that one last time before you told the vet to put it down. The enormous drop off in sales in software across the board and 2 console launches that didnt even hit luke warm levels shows im not alone in my thinking.

I could have been in a coma for 12 months and missed very little, heres hoping 2013 is better, it cant be worse surely???

It was a great year for gaming, for games, IMO anyway.

Less AAA tat, more cheaper, original, brilliant PSN/XBLA titles.

I never had any time where there was nothing worth playing, if I wasn't playing a massive AAA title like Max Payne 3 or Borderlands 2 then I was playing something new like Dishonored, Sleeping Dogs or Lollipop Chainsaw, if I wasn't playing those then I had The Walking Dead, Minecraft, Trials Evolution, Journey or many others off PSN/XBLA to play.

I'll have the same again next year please.

Oh and @Activision: Please release a new CoD so Megatron has at least one game to play next year :).

HE HE HE HE HE......Nice!!!

The truth is that i've probably got more shrink wrapped games still waiting to be played than dodo has bought in the past 2 years but hey whatever makes him smile.....Aint got nothing but love for ya! xxx

I will give you dishonored though, that was a genuine highlight, as well as far cry 3 and maybe walking dead but everything else you mentioned is a clone of another game and congrats for picking the worst jap game of the year as your game of choice to champion core gaming, thats never going to stop being funny.

Also NI-NO-KUNI a 2 year old jap game that western folk will finally get to play in January is something you may want to pick up as your march to embrace non AAA games and street cred coolness continues, i stopped replying to you on psn after you admitted not even knowing what it was, as its the season of giving consider this my present to you......KNOWLEDGE.

Booom you just got DAMIAN SANDOW'ed all up in your face.........YOU'RE WELCOME!!!

Merry xmas sex machine!!!

A lot of these quotes aren't that memorable but look impressive in bold and with a splash of red

A lot like the games of 2012

I'm so sick of seeing that same f**king photo of Notch with that ridiculous expression on his stupid, chubby face!

What about:

John Carmack:
"unfortunately, I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of next gen games will still target 30 fps."
