Some good games again tonight with Shelster & chums. 20% races, although long, really do add an extra bit of strategy with the mandatory pit stop.

The people that have posted in this thread & haven't played with us yet are seriously missing out. Including all of you hen pecked gits that get roped in to watching Eastenders each night! :P Sorry, I'll stop now. :D

Seriously though, this game is a lot of fun when you get in a room with some like minded people that give each other the room they need on the corners. The invite is always there, 8-9pm, same bat channel, same bat time. ;)

I resent that remark! I managed to watch Eastenders AND play some F1 last night - I'm very clearly a free spirit...

It might be just my age and level of fitness, but is anyone else a bit drained after a few races? i'm not even paid to concentrate that hard!

@ monkey. may i recommend a wife and young child. it will help you to have less time playing and even things up a bit. or how about a lap head start?

Yeah, the level of concentration needed to race a perfect race is insane, it really is. I like to think I can concentrate pretty well, but I still spin at least once per race. By the time I'm finished with a night on this game, I'm bloody knackered. Image

Hoping to get some epic games of F1 in tonight. Will be on from 8pm onwards, playing public sprint matches to start with.

Once we have a good number of peeps, will migrate over to a custom GP lobby.

Oh you!

We had a room of seven people tonight. Did a few public games & then a custom GP. All friends. How many friends have you had in a private match so far Daz? :P

If you play this on the PC, then you don't necessarily have the ability to throw your controller across the room - which I've found to be an integral part of the F1 2010 experience...

SimHQ always leans VERY heavily toward the PC. It's no wonder that's the version they preferred.

playing on a pc feels rather souless to me (or my mac for that matter). I wouldn't wipe my arse with F1 on the PC.

i picked up a free version of portal on steam for my mac and it feels totally wrong. the only games i liked on pc were the golf pro and virtual pool 2. that'll tell you how long it was i gave up that sh1te.

...and before anyone says.... i have a more than capable pc and mac. i just use them for work, the domain they belong in

I'm of pretty much the same opinion, although I used to game on the PC rather heavily until I bought my 360, at which point it just became a ball ache and expensive compared with console gaming.

To be honest if I had a PC capable of running F1 2010 I would feel like I was wasting it just using it for work.

Actually, I'd probably be a starved wreck, clothes rotted off and sitting in my own faeces as I had failed to stop playing Civ 5.

No, I keep nearly buying it but the spector of FO New Vegas keeps appearing and I just know I'll be lost in that for about 3 months when it comes out. We'll see how it is and then I'll decide whether to pick up F1 or not.
