How's about an arcade section with a monthly prize?

That's a point actually.

A few more competitions would be good. Not thinking free tv's or holidays but something like a new release game or memorabilia.
Here's a lockpick, now jog on.

I was only thinking of something like a five quid voucher.

SFX magazine used to have a section called couch potato. How about a bi mothly games night? Some of the staff and selected members have a games night with some oldish online games, MKWii, CoD 4 type titles and use it as the basis for a retrospective type article?

CVG could offer a prize for winning the The OFFICIAL CVG Premiership/Championship Prediction League...

Hmmn, I like the idea of a games night, or a contest, or something.

Yeah, gaming nights or contests wouldn't be fair as I'd always win and the lads would become resentful of me!! :P

My mam says it isn't the winning that's important, ergo you are insignificant. ;)

I hope they honour the first ever and current champion!

I like the idea of a site games night.

Would also be good if maybe the staff added a few posters on here and we could have race nights or time trial events over a period of time?

not if, as in most cases, staff couldn't enter.

Being able to do simple things like embed videos in the forums would be nice, not necessarily in article comments but in the dedicated forums themselves it would be a step forward.

That would be the folly of the unwise!! Imagine, a video embedded by Crispy?! *shudders* No thanks!

The site is a jumbled offence to the eyes, it feels ancient even though it's new. It reminds me of the N4G place that just bundles up everybody else's news. I appreciate CVG is like a central multi-platform site that cumulates Future Publishing's platform specific magazines, but without it's own writers it really does feel like there's two people cutting and pasting this site together rather than creating anything.

Competitions and gaming nights would transform this place. Hell, I might even start reading the articles again!

All this internal bitching is easily solved by not getting involved/responding. I've stopped commenting on anything other than games as I've got enough stress in the real world. I think some of us regulars need to take a step back and get some perspective. This place is supposed to be about fun, not tribal politics.
