ASK CVG ANYTHING (next question deadline - Fri 18 October)

Postby Chris Scullion » 30 Jan 2013, 17:17

Afternoon, our lovely CVG readers. We're planning on implementing a number of new regular features on the site over the coming months, one of which will be starting this week and replacing our Mailbox section. It's going to be called Ask CVG Anything (we definitely haven't copied Reddit, honest) and the idea is a simple one - ask us literally anything about games and we (that's Chris Scullion, Games Editor and Tamoor Hussain, Staff Writer) will post our answers in an article on the site.

What you ask is up to you - it could be related to what we've been playing recently (Chris has been playing Ni No Kuni, Balloon Fight, Picross e2 and the Crysis 3 beta, Tamoor has been playing DmC, Darksiders 2 and Binary Domain), it could be related to any recent gaming news (THQ's closure, Wind Waker remake), it could be related to any of the other articles we've written this week.

Or, of course, it could be about anything else - "What's your favourite Mega CD game", "What was the point of that little thumb strap that came with the original DS", "is Big the Cat underrated", etc.

(incidentally, the answers are: Snatcher, it was supposed to help use the touch screen as an analogue stick but didn't work well, and yes)

The only things we can't/won't answer are questions about release dates (if they aren't out there, we don't know or can't way yet), upcoming games that we're still under embargo from discussing, or yawnsome 'clever' questions like "hay CVG why r u so bias".

So ask away - just comment below with your questions and we'll answer as many as we can (or are able to) in an article this weekend. Thanks!

How do you feel about micro transactions appearing in full priced retail games?

Any question? How to break the speed of light? How to marry quantum mechanics and classical physics? Any question at all, truly anything and you will answer?

OK, here's my question: Would you like some toast?
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

I've got mint sauce and sweet chili philadelphia only. Most sincerest apologies.

What's each writers most overhyped game?

Binary Domain, it's better than Gears of War really isn't it?

When will Rockstar realise a game based on Big Trouble In Little China would be the best game ever and get working on it?
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

What are these other new regular features?

Also can you do this in the style of an Iwata presentation? I love how awkward they are.

Which sequel should never have seen the light of day?
Childhood pictures redeem, clean and so serene
See myself without ruining lines
Whole days throwing sticks into streams

I have crawled so far sideways
I recognise dim traces of creation

Do you think that the COD series has done more harm than good to the gaming industry?
