Postby tacehtselrahc » 30 Sep 2009, 17:29

Did anyone see Charlie Brooker's Gameswipe on BBC Four Tuesday 29th Sep 10pm or on BBC iPlayer?
I thought it was quite good.

I saw it. Thought it was hilarious!

It was a really interesting condensed gaming history and a down to earth look at contemporary gaming. It featured some really obscure / ancient games as well. Made me feel like an old man.

It's up on Iplayer at the moment if anyone wants to watch it: ... Gameswipe/

EDIT: I should probably note that it has very strong language and that Iplayer is available to UK residents only.

[Mod Edit] My favourite bit was when he was playing Wolfenstein and making up back stories for the Nazi's; I had a go on Wolfenstein at my mates house and it's OK; it's just not in the same league as CoD - which is pretty much the yardstick for FPS games these days! Plus, that Natal demonstration was very funny too (never seen that before), grooming a young boy... *ahem* shame it was a one-off though.
