So VGA is better than Component yes?
What do I do with audio then, is it the usual white and red things and my TV will know what to do with it?

To FatBoyFonz

You plug the red and white ones into your amp or tv if you want to listen to audio through you tv speakers while video comes through your monitor.

The way I do it is to plug the red and white leads into my tv tuner card in my pc, change the input to A/V in the tv card options and I get audio through my pc speakers. It works great for now until I get a 5.1 set-up.

It isn't, despite what some people think they see. From a technical perspective VGA and component should yield the exact same result. Of course when you compare a crappy component cable with an upper class VGA you might see differences.

As for audio, you'd wanna use the coaxial digital audio for optimal results.

mmm, okey. I'm pretty sure that the loss on a vga box compared to a true cable is around null. Anyways, it's certainly better than the usual cables that comes with the consoles.

Just got an official VGA cable from EB Games. I have to say that it makes one hell of a difference! Loving it at 1280X1024 (or whatever it is) on my 19" LCD monitor. This'll definitely do me until I can shell out for a proper HDTV (plus, it means I can play even while the missus watches tv - hello midweek Live-athons!). :D

Yeah, nice one. It was just on the off-chance that I went in there yesterday, and lo and behold they had one left! It cost me 299DKK, though :(
