[Hans Moleman]... Can I close the thread now? ...[/Hans Moleman]

We should be using this particular forum to have Live get togethers like the ones I missed out on.

Granted my broadband is poo and I'm on Silver but that will be sorted soon.

Remember kids, don't buy broadband from men with beards who thinking ballooning is a valid form of transport.

I've still got that 48 hour trial if you want it for this weekend.

Just give us a shout.

Thanks but I'll wait until I'm free of the Virgin curse. I'm gonna go with Newnet as soon as Virgin's dire customer service get their collective finger out of their collective arse and give me my MAC. Then I'll take you up on your kind offer.

Otherwise that 2 day trial would be wasted on me.

I really set myself up for that one, didn't I?

@Creamery - Are you on Cable? I'm on ADSL and it's awfully slow. I'm talking dial-up speeds.

PlusNet are pretty good as far as I know.

Best bet is to ditch ADSL and go cable, but that's not always practical. (Says the man still using ADSL, even though I keep meaning to change to cable).

And Virgin should be forthcoming with the MAC code as they can't fanny about giving them out anymore.

Sorry, Newnet? Bunch of arrogant c*cks they are. Or they were several years ago anyways.
Currently playing: Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii), Portal 2 (PS3)

I went onto thinkbroadband.com and compared a whole load of providers. It came down to IDNet and Newnet and there isn't a great deal between them so I'm gonna opt for Newnet as a lot of the users are gamers and they are slightly cheaper too.

I spoke to virgin through their message support thingy-ma-bob. 30 days for a reply to my formal complaint? Chuffin' hell, they are having a laugh.

Edit: I'd go cable but well I'm moving house at the end of the year so I don't want to get someone in to start laying cable on that account. Maybe once I've moved though.

Got to be careful with what provider you have haven't you? Some will sting you with that fair usage policy.

Depends what you use it for i suppose. I'd look on the forums of places like adslguide.com and check the kind of respnses they get.
