Cricket lovely cricket.

Postby rbt2 » 21 Aug 2011, 19:50

I know not many like it but I love it. Been watching our boys destroy the so called world's best team. Well they were until we smashed them off top spot.
All you English out there, you've finally got a national team to be proud of. f**k the England football team!
Well done the lads.

I'll sometimes enjoy watching cricket, but I don't really watch it too often. Still, it's great we're number 1 in the world and have an amazing team. :D

I f**king love cricket when England are making a decent fist of it. They don't have to be as dominant as they are now, winning all the time and all that, but just putting some effort in.

I watched all the Ashes tests on my 360, staying up until silly o clock and have been listening to it on 5 Live while decorating the flat. Getting it streamed on my iphone before we had internet here was a f**king brucey bonus.

I'm a test fan though. Old school. And if anyone tells you there's sport's commentary anywhere in the world that's better than Test Match Special, poke them in the eye and call them a lying s**t.

And the reason for that outburst is because you, my blarney stone kissing friend, are Irish and therefore ignorant of the skills and intricacies of this marvellous game.

@Ric. Agree about cricket commentators. They're the best of the lot.
Remember dear old Brian 'Jonners' Jonson? Even if you hated cricket he was worth listening to.

Any sport where you can play it for 5 days solid yet still end up drawing the match isnt a real sport in my eyes.

I'd have thought that being a sweaty you wouldn't consider any sport a real sport.

Expect to see me at London 2012, winning Gold medals all over the shop.

OT, I quite like 1 Day and 20/20. But this whole 5 day slog, just isnt for me.

When I was younger I lived not far from The Oval. During the summer holidays there was nowt like going everyday to the tests. Lovely hot weather by and large, mates, a few cans of beer and cricket to boot.
I couldn't have asked for more.

Never used too, but love it! At least England are decent at cricket!
Was brilliant watching them beat the Aussie's for the Ashes and then become the number 1 test team, but raping India and then a week later beat them in 20-20 with our second highest run chase ever. LADS>
