Is it about time, or have they sacked the wrong person?

What do you people think?

Peter Reid back! :(
He was so much more fun.
With his monkey for a heed.
And that.

Your having a laugh becuase Sunderland are going down!

I think both the team and the manager were to blame, it's a shame they've had to let him go.

Hopefully a new manager will help the team.

Imo its not Micks fault. After all what the hell can you do with players like the guy who gave away Man City's first goal yesterday.

It's a pathetic move aimed at pleasing the fans. Sunderland are basically down and out. End of. So why sack a manager that has proven he can win the Championship? It's a stupid move with no tactical gain at all. And who is gonna want to take on the pressure of a club 40 million in debt with 48,000 eager fans expecting promotion?

It has no gain. It was stupid and goes to show how much of a joke Murray is. I for one am quite upset at his sacking because he didnt deserve it. He was given f**k all to try and avoid relegation with and had to make the most of a Championship side.

Murray out. Simple as.

I'm happy for him.

I feel sorry for Mick, i think he f**ked his career up by going to Sunderland. I think he could have got a better job after the good things he did for the R.O.I.
Now he will be lucky to get the Walsall job!

:D?
You can't be serious.
Fair enough, we've not won owt since the sixties, but even the FA say we're one of the five biggest clubs in the league...
Why is it Newcastle can subsidise millions for players and Sunderland can't?

"Sunderland have been English Champions six times in total (last time was 1936), and won the FA Cup twice; most famously as a Second Division club in 1973, when they beat the then-mighty Leeds United."

Wheras for Newcastle:
" * First Division / Premier League
o Champions - 1905, 1907, 1909, 1927
o Runners-up - 1996, 1997

* Second Division / Division One
o Champions - 1965, 1993
o Runners-up - 1898, 1948

* FA Cup
o Winners - 1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955
o Finalists - 1905, 1906, 1908, 1911, 1974, 1998, 1999

* League Cup
o Finalists - 1976

* Inter-Cities Fairs Cup
o Winners - 1969

* Texaco Cup
o Winners - 1974, 1975

* Anglo-Italian Cup
o Winners - 1973
"

I agree Murray should have been out......not McCarthy

And as for Sunderland, least the fans support the club no matter what unlike other clubs (not mentioning any names or anything WASSY...) Sunderland are the better team.

You can always count on a bin dipper for a laugh :D.
You have the worst record in the Premier league's history!
I'm not denying you lot are loyal...We've both got the best fans in the country (along with proper man utd fans, not the prawn sandwich eating bastards). It's all to do with being one club cities.
