Final issues of PSM3 and Xbox World out today

Postby Solm » 12 Dec 2012, 13:43

I will miss PSM 3, but there is no place really for print mags with the www giving instant news, reviews and previews instantly. Love the PSM 3 podcast I hope this is not going anywhere.

The Internet has killed off the magazines, but some magazines will always be remembered. Super Play is one such magazine, I'm so sad that I have to sell all 47 off. :(
Looking for a PC-FX, CDi, Neo Geo CD, Wonderswan, PC Engine

What about actually having a magazine in your hand? Unwrapping the plastic? Feeling the new paper? The internet's all well and good, but do you get those things from staring at a computer?

YOU FORGOT THE NEW MAGAZINE SMELL!

I compensate for this by sniffing my lastest games instruction booklet while browsing CVG

I was gonna say that but thought "How many people smell a new magazine or game instruction book?" (even though most if not all games come with 1 page of T&C)

I'm gonna miss PSM3. If I was ever unsure about a game I always waited for PSM3's review because they were nearly always spot on, except their Dragon Age review, that was just harsh and totally wrong. :)

I will miss PSM3 it was always my choice of buying related to there score's and opinions.I was with them from PSM2 the GTA3 artical got me hooked from then on,I was chuffed to have made it into there top ten pro dojo section and still have copied to my hard drive my crazy Driver 3 and Hitman footage they placed on there free dvd back then.I dont know how I will choose my games from now on and are sad they wont be here to cover the up and coming GTA 5 :( I guess I am to blame in part due to tight fund's in these tough times I had to buy only a few issues this year my bad team.

All the best for the future.

Yes the new smell it something I will miss but reviews and previews are already on the internet and it's old news by the time the mag is printed. Also missing it for some toilet reading...

Did Tim Weaver used to work for N64 magazine? That used to be my favourite mag, i never missed an issue of that for about two years. Gamesmaster was my other favourite. Happy days back then in the 90's when me and my mates would bring their new issues of their mags in to school and we we would all gather around and discuss which had the best graphics etc lol. Nowadays kids have their smartphones and ipads so magazines are slowly dieing out unfortunately :(

Been reading PSM for years, and was considering to drop OPM and go digital on my renewal on ipad.

Shame really, been a good read for years and much prefered the PSM team.

Good luck guys and thanks for a good mag over the last 9 years or so of reading.

I won't be leaving a message on the facebook page as I don't have and never intend to have an arsepad account.

I've still got a huge collection of Dreamcast mags, as well as some multiformat ones and every now and then I love digging them out and having a good read and a laugh at some of the articles which are written with great humor, but I can see why they aren't as popular as they used to be. Why pay money for old news when you can go on the internet, pop onto sites like this one and read the latest stuff, comment on it, make friends (and in some cases, enemies!), win stuff, take part in community events, watch videos and more all for free?

f**king interweb. All it's known for is trending Youtube videos - which they removed, and porn - of which the online variety is 99.9% s**t. And when you think it can't get worse: I ran out of midget gems :?
