The Blurb - Challenge TV

Postby StonecoldMC » 01 Feb 2013, 18:01

This is a video game TV programe that my mate sent me a link for earlier today.

Havent had a chance to see it myself but its on a Monday at either 10pm or 11pm.

We dont have many Gaming shows, is this better than nothing?

I don't see why TV needs gaming shows anymore, maybe ten years ago but now? What's the point? You've got Youtube. Your phone, tablet, PS3, 360, Wii U, PC, TV, washing machine, they all have Youtube or a way to find gaming content within seconds.

I think it's pretty important that gaming has some sort of presence on TV. Music and Films have got quite a few dedicated shows and when you look at how big gaming is, its scandalous that we havent had one for a while.

With regards to this show ive just watched it on my planner and its not that bad. They reviewed Dead Space 3, had an interview with Crystal Dynamic and previewed the new Tomb Raider, a showdown between Resident Evil and Silent Hill, showed us footage of the new NHL game and a few other tidbits too.

Its no Consolevania or videoGaiden, but itll do for now.

Just sky plussed this.
Now and again I will record Playr on showcase channel if I remember.
Never liked Gamesmaster though. Far too many challenges and not enough news/reviews.
Never understood why it gets held in such high esteem.
Especially when you had that Dom Diamond wanka presenting it!

Couldn't agree more rbt, Diamond was always a bit of a c**t, in my opinion anyway.

Dont think well ever see a Consolevania or videoGaiden again, but this is a start.

Ill keep an eye out for Playr as well.

Playr is on channel 191/192 stoney.
Not bad really.
What was the funny game show presented by scottish blokes? I know it was either Consolevania or t'other one.
I used to watch it now and then on BBC2 Scotland I seem to recall.
Also, what was the name of the Sky1 show in the '90's that had unfunny David Walliams on it?
Big Barry was on it too I think.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Both Consolevania and videoGaiden were made by Rab Florence and Ry Mcleod, f**king brilliant!

They don't make them like that anymore

the problem I found with playr is they keep showing the same one with that crappy german cops/robbers game. Isn't the blurb with that woman with the hair and piecings? watched it once, seemed ok.
