I can't believe that a favourite comedian thread has been and gone and nobody mentioned Bill Hicks or George Carlin. To me they're f*cking legends!

I had a butchers for one of his videos yesterday and this was all I could find as well. I hadn't heard of the bloke before you mentioned him and I already love him, cheers Royston. I love comedians who tell the truth, but that have the ability to make it funny.

I think he's brilliant. I was wrong about Tim Vine being me fave. Sadowitz is by a mile. He had a tv show in the early 90's (on very late of course) but tv couldn't handle him.
Very hard to source any of his stuff but I know he's got his own site and a big following.
Apparently he did a turn at that Swiss comedy festival and it only took some prick 20 odd seconds into his set to get up and punch him in the face.
Magnificent comic.

Same sort of thing happened to Bill Hicks really, too honest for TV to handle sadly. Found a place online selling Jerry Sadowitz DVD's so I look forward to seeing him properly in action.

If you want angry and really funny then that welsh prick really ain't your man.
There's only one.
And his name is Jerry Sadowitz
Makes the likes of wankas like him and Frankie Boyle look like the choir boys they are.

Did you know that Sadowitz is a Palace fan?
Well I don't think he is really but I wish he was.
A Scottish Jew with curly hair....he had to be funny and rude really, didn't he?

LES DAWSON! My all time favourite comedian, the couple on honeymoon in Cumbria gag cracks me up every time!

Other than Les it's Dave Alan, Frankie Boyle, Alan Davies and I was shocked to find that Russel Kan's funny live.
Bill Bailey goes without saying (a good trick for a stand-up :D )
