Bit drastic to top yourself over a prank phone call though isn't it. Surely there's more to it than that, like something else was going bad in her life and that tipped her over the edge.

Either way it's obvious who we all should blame.....Australia.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

She was made an utter fool of and it was subsequently broadcast all over the nation, she also gave out confidential information. I can understand why that would make you commit suicide.

You don't see X Factor contestants doing that after they do the same each week.

The story i saw says she only put the call through to a colleague, and it was her/him that told them how she was.
Here's a lockpick, now jog on.

I agree, Magnifico.
We should declare war on Australia.
Queenie, you're first on the list.

I thought the main reason she'd killed herself was not because she looked foolish, but because she gave out confidential information to strangers over the phone. I don't think it was her directly, but she passed the call onto another nurse who did. Either way, they'd have to go through several court hearings for that, wouldn't they?

Lets just all agree that MI6 did this to stop the constant badgering of these 2 Royals.

It's as clear as the sky is blue [/congo]

I don't think people who go on talent shows have a very high degree of shame though, which is why they can bear to appear on them.

The confidential information is given out just after 'The Queen' asks for it at 1:55.

I don't know who answers her tbh.

Now, now! It's not my fault two cockhead DJs called the hospital and fooled a nurse! :P

While I agree that the DJs are complete idiots who should have had more sense than to make an immature prank call (You should hear how much s**t they talk on their show), how could they have known that it would end in such a tragedy like this? And the nurse only switched the call to one of Kate's nurses, and then that nurse gave out all the details. It's sad to think that she would end her life over a few words she spoke -- maybe there's more to it?

You know me by now, Queenie. I was only jesting.
And I agree with you and Magnifico, who would top themselves because of summat like this?
And by the way, do you listen to this show and what's it like?

WHOOOOOSH! You know that I know you jest because you know I jest.

I have heard bits of their show a couple of times, but I always end up changing the station because they just start talking s**t and thinking they're hilarious instead of playing music. They were on the Hot30 countdown tv show too -- not sure if that's still on though.

We barely know anything about her, or how she perceived the situation. Everybody's different. Even if she only said a few words she was still duped, maybe being made a mockery of (which was subsequently amplified by being repeated over and over) is something she couldn't take, maybe this was the final straw, just enough to push her over the edge, everybody has problems. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Those DJs knew what they were doing though, they went in with the intent to embarrass, if that was the reason she committed suicide then I don't know what should happen. Was it abuse? Is it manslaughter? I'm not a lawyer don't ask me.

I would say however, is impersonating another person to try and get confidential information illegal? Sounds shady to me.

On the topic of radio, it seems to be mostly shite, about 1% of the BBC radio stations content is listen-able (and most of that is Radio 4), all the others have a s**t load of adverts and the only people they hire are people who think their voices are more important than the music. Radio is so f**ked up.

I know what you're saying about it being shady, doug.
I would have classed it more as ill advised though.
I do stress that I am no fan of royalty, however.
These radio pranks have been going on for years though and can sometimes be very funny.
With regards your comments on radio, I too enjoy R4 but I also love R2 and 6 Music is a fave as well.

The DJs have apparently gone into hiding and are on suicide watch now as well.

'Tis the season.
