It's a yorkshire thing really. If you want sausage and chips in a chippy in Yorkshire you have to ask for an un-battered sausage as they will only have battered ones. Not toad in the hole style. Just a sausage with batter on it. Individual like.

My ginger balls is it a yorkshire thing! We have it round Norfolk coast pretty much everywheres. Lovely.

Corned beef hash does sound like cow vomit though.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

I'm with you that toad in the hole is great, but yorkshiremen are dour and horrible.

Don't mind me some corned beef hash, but I've got a chicken breast with leeks and onions in a cheese sauce for later.

I really fancy toad in the hole now though.
Got corned beef hash instead though.
Now I think about it, I'm not all that keen on corned beef hash.

Have to agree with that. Toad in the hole is where it's at. Assuming you like sausages and yorkies... covered in rich gravy, with a large dollop of mash and some peas.

Hungry!
