The US Election

Postby Samildanach » 07 Nov 2012, 00:35

Anyone going to watch this tonight. I don't really care about it, but I just find the election results fascinating viewing, it really is great telly. Personally I'd like Obama to win, but then again, if Romney wins we're one step closer to WW3!! So win win all round!

I'm staying up for it.

Romney can't actually win this, can he?

What a terrifying thought!

If Romney wins, I really can see the power shifting to China. Romney will alienate a lot of countries like Bush did, maybe even more so.

Romney is so far right wing it's frightening!

Flicking between Sky and the BBC and both are making an arse of it.

If I see another poll or graph I think I'm gonna scream

The BBC has spent loads of time going on about the ethnic voting split. vine was hiding behind this massive graph that spanned the studio. It was so massive the X axis wasn't abundantly clear.

He must be a whizz on Excel.

I've started watching Fox News, just for a laugh. Its basically a party political broadcast for Romney and the Republicans. Some of the things there coming away with are truly frightening.

f**king come on Obama!

Looking at all the demographic projections of the way Americans vote. They'd nearly be better off splitting the country in two! Most of the country are republicans but have f**k all people, and all the major areas and cities are democratic! Mental!

Also, just seen that Linda McMahon spent $42 million of her own money trying to get elected to the senate as a republican?! And lost!! Ha!! Get back to wrestling bitch!

It didn't matter who won really, option A or option B, the Illuminati still run the world. And a lovely caravan site at Skegness.
Here's a lockpick, now jog on.

Just heard this being played in the background after Obama's speech.

Also really good to hear him mention gays in his 'It doesn't matter if you're white or black, rich or poor' bit.

A big who cares about american politics. President Candidate A wants to invade country 1, Candidate B wants to invade country 2. So long as those countries aren't the south east of england I don't care who runs that country. Tony Tiger would be a better selection than anyone I've seen.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

I stayed up until 1am watching it at which point Romney had like a score 19 against Obama's 3. I feared the worst but thankfully the maniac didn't get in.

I thought the ethnic voting stuff was interesting. One bit I saw had the breakdown of white people as 54% Romney 46% Obama, with the Hispanics slightly more in favour of Obama. The black vote was 96% Obama 4% Romney, at which point i thought either the Republicans really offer nothing to black Americans whereas the Democrats do or they're just voting Obama because he's black, which in my mind is pretty ludicrous.

Also some states are going to vote the same way in every single election. Similar to Northern town nearly always voting labour over here and southern town voting Conservative i guess. Lastly why don't they have more political parties? I find that bewildering.

Still the best man won I reckon.
