A halogen mini oven from Robert Dyas. 30 quid.
It's brilliant. Just cooked a 4 lb chicken in it in just under an hour.
10/10

Seems a bit caravan site like. Did she finally kick you out?
Here's a lockpick, now jog on.

They're total shite. I had one given to me as a Xmas present once, straight down the charity shop with that f**ker. Cooking food with a lightbulb - that's third world stuff right there.

I'll field these points one at a time.
Basil firstly. No but after last night and my behaviour it was close.
Jim. Been thinking about getting one for a while. Energy saving and all that. Been reading on forums about halogen ovens (oh dear. I'm not the man I used to be) and the general consensus is they're great. One woman said she doesn't use her conventional oven anymore.
We're gonna try a roast in it on Sunday.
So far I'm impressed.

If this doesn't scream cry for help and intervention I don't know what does.

Apart from this is a cry for help I need an intervention, obviously.

I know. Embarrassing isn't it?
But you wait til you get to my age.
It's all cookery programmes, The Radio Times, feeling chilly in the summer and wearing a jumper throughout that season and waiting for the grim reaper to end your miserable existence.
It'll happen to you.
Don't think it won't happen to you.

I'll make sure it doesn't.

f**king dress up in a burka and drive past where Grolsch lives or go on holiday to Ireland or some s**t. Anything has to be better than going out looking at women's forums. Think of your poor lad if he finds you face down in the laptop and the last thing you had on was slow roasting tips.

You shouldn't knock slow roasting. We bought a halogen oven cooking book with the oven. It was a fiver but if bought with the oven then it was half price.
I've been reading it a bit tonight and......kill me.
Kill me now!
What have I become?

A honeydew melon. Well I didn't buy it. Well not directly I spose.
I love all fruit. Even the crappier ones.
It's in the fridge now and I can't stop thinking about it.
If half of it survives the 2nd part of Corrie tonight then I'll be damned.

A puppy

10/10

Thinking of naming her in honour of cvg, but she's a little girl so Barry or Reeeg don't exactly work. Any ideas?

I distrust patriotism; the reasonable man can find little in these days that is worth dying for. But dying against - there's enough iniquity in Europe to carry the most urbane or decadent into battle.
